Dawn Phelps, Preparedness and Health & Safety Services (PHSS) Assistant

Dawn Phelps joined the St. Joseph Chapter of the American Red Cross as an AmeriCorps member in September 2011, after having worked for more than ten years brokering commercial property and casualty insurance.  She started volunteering with the Red Cross in March 2011 and has deployed to Washington, North Carolina in response to Hurricane Irene.  Dawn now serves as the Preparedness and Health & Safety Services Assistant and is responsible for promoting and conducting Community Disaster Education, assisting with local disaster relief operations, and recruiting and training new volunteers.
