American Red Cross water programs are taught at various area facilities and high schools. Instructors, as well as course dates and times are set up and managed by the individual site.
Many of the St. Joseph County area high schools have active WSI and Lifeguarding programs. Students can sign up at their school, (if offered) or through the South Bend Parks Dept. which manages all of the water courses for South Bend High Schools (Clay, Riley, Washington , Adams). Children’s Learn-to-Swim classes are taught by Water Safety Instructors at many area pools; dates and times for these classes can be found on the facility website, or by calling the contact number.
