NEW TEACHERS: We Have a CPR Class for you!

An Indiana State Law, which took effect on July 1, 2007; requires that new teachers be certified in CPR and procedures for alleviating choking.  Registration can be done by phone, 574-234-0191 and credit cards are accepted at the time of registration; or you can register online through our website as with the above class.  Remember, this requirement is only for NEW teachers, but ANYONE who would like to learn Adult & Child CPR may take this class!

We offer on-site classes to help with this new certification requirement based on community response. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required.  The cost of the class is $40, and you can check on availability by calling the chapter, 574-234-0191; email Jennifer Parcell  ( info@stjoe-redcross.org ); or by stopping by.  We hope to see you there!

For teachers and others unable to attend a regular class at Red Cross will also offer an on-line version of the Adult/Child/Infant CPR class; the on-line version includes components for infants and for AEDs, which are not covered in the on-site instructor led class.   Participants interested in the on-line version, which requires a computer access code and an ‘in-person’ test prior to certification, is $50.   Interested teachers are encouraged to call Mark Smith at (574) 234-0191 or email smith@stjoe-redcross.org .
